Helpful tip of the day! I was recently asked how long lashes last? Typically, lashes last 4 to 6 weeks. They last indefinitely with fill that I recommend every two to three weeks.
Now please note that this based on a number of factors and this is something I explain to every one of my clients during a consultation which every client receives. Now I may not explain every little bit of detail but I want them to know it all. I don't just slap on lashes and push you out the door. With that said, Everyone's lashes are different. Some people can go longer in length of time and some people's lashes will all fall off before the four week mark. Some people's lashes are very short and thin and some are long and thick... some are long and thin.... You get the point, right? :) My point is that I will tell you what to expect with your own lashes. I will be honest! I will not apply lashes to your lashes if you are not a good candidate!
Next, it all depends on how you take care of your lashes. Wearing mascara can cause they to fall of faster. The pulling of the mascara wand on the lashes can prematurely break off a lash extension. I recommend that woman use mascara only on the tips of lashes and that they use a non waterproof mascara. So that the mascara won't be too difficult to remove. The harder it is to take off the harder you are working on your lashes and lash extensions.
Also, I tell my clients to wait 48 hours before exposing your lashes to heat and water. It takes 48 hours for the adhesive that I use to completely dry. If you get them wet or expose them to say a tanning bed or extreme heat the lashes may come off too soon.
I also recommend that my clients sleep on their back.... Sleeping on your side or your stomach will smash the lashes and again have them fall off faster.

It may seem like there are a lot of recommendations when it comes to taking care of your beautiful lash extensions. I want my clients to be 110% satisfied with their lashes and want them to keep coming back. I give these as recommendations to make sure they get the most time out of their lashes.

On a full set I typically apply up to 80 lashes per eye and in some cases add beyond that number. On average a person may shed 8 to 10 lashes per eye a week because our own lashes grow and fall out and then go through the growth cycle again. So even after 4 weeks you could still have 40 plus lashes per eye and that is still beautiful. It may not be a FULL Set but not all the lashes are going to stay on for a full 4 to 6 weeks.

Lashes is a labor or love and I LOVE IT! I Love my clients, I love my work, and I will stand by it to the end!
